Bayou Mats Serves the oil and gas, pipeline, utility, and heavy civil contractors across the Gulf Coast

South Louisiana's ground does not care what is on the schedule. Marsh, soft clay, batture, and standing water sit between your crew and the work across every industry we serve. We spec and deliver the right mat for the job so equipment reaches the site and stays moving. Here is how that plays out by industry.

Oil & Gas
In the oilfield, the well is rarely the hard part. The ground getting to it is. Drilling locations, lease roads, and staging areas sit on marsh and soft clay that will not carry a rig, a pump truck, or a crane without help. Lose the access and the entire site goes on pause.
We build drilling pads that spread the load, lay temporary lease roads over wet ground, and stage crane and equipment pads for refinery turnarounds along the river corridor. Timber, crane, and laminated mats, delivered and placed, so your equipment reaches location and your crew goes to work.
Utility
Transmission and distribution work goes where the ground is worst: substation sites on fill, tower locations off the road in soft right-of-way, and distribution runs through wet, wooded terrain. Get a digger derrick or a crane stuck out there and a routine job turns into a recovery.
We lay access roads to tower and pole locations, build crane and equipment pads at substations, and protect the ground under bucket trucks and diggers on soft sites. The mats go where the road does not, so your line crews keep working through wet and marshy conditions.
Pipeline
Pipeline work lives on the right-of-way, and the right-of-way runs straight through the wettest ground in the state. Spreads have to move heavy equipment along a narrow corridor, cross marsh and canals, and protect the ground under dragline and sidebooms while staying inside environmental setbacks.
We mat ROW access roads and crossings, build dragline and equipment pads on soft ground, and supply pipeline skids for staging and stringing. Timber, laminated, and crane mats plus outrigger pads and skids, sized to the spread, so the line keeps moving without tearing up the corridor.
Civil Contractors
Heavy civil work in South Louisiana means building on ground that fights back. Bridge and levee jobs, road builds, and site work all stage cranes and heavy equipment on soft, saturated soil where a loaded machine can sink or slide without a stable surface under it.
We build crane and equipment pads, lay temporary haul roads and access over soft ground, and protect finished or sensitive surfaces under heavy traffic. The right mat keeps your equipment level, your schedule intact, and your crew off the mud.
